Frequently asked questions

Everything founders ask before incorporating in Canada.

How long does incorporation take?
With our express service, your corporation can be ready in as little as 1 business day. Standard queues are available at a lower cost.
Do I need to be a Canadian resident?
No. We support non-resident founders and can provide a registered address and agent services where a jurisdiction requires one.
What's included in the price?
Name search and NUANS, Articles of Incorporation, an electronic minute book, and free PDFs of your official documents. HST is shown transparently at checkout.
Which jurisdiction should I choose?
Incorporate provincially to operate in one province, or federally to operate Canada-wide. The wizard recommends the right option as you go.
How much does it cost?
Your fee depends on the jurisdiction and the options you choose. The pricing page lists every service, and the incorporation wizard shows your exact total — government fees and HST included — before you pay.
What information do I need to get started?
Just the essentials: your proposed company name (or a numbered company), the directors and shareholders, and a registered office address. The wizard walks you through each step and saves your progress.
Should I choose a named or numbered company?
A named company (like “Acme Solutions Inc.”) builds brand recognition; a numbered company (like “1234567 Canada Inc.”) is quicker because it skips the name search. You can pick either — and add a business name later.
What happens after I incorporate?
You receive your incorporation documents and an electronic minute book. Typical next steps are getting a CRA business number, opening a business bank account, and registering for GST/HST or payroll if you need them — we can point you in the right direction.
What are my ongoing obligations?
To stay in good standing, a corporation files an annual return and its corporate tax returns. We also handle registry and annual-return filings so you don’t miss a deadline.
Can you help if I operate in more than one province?
Yes. If you’re incorporated in one province (or federally) but do business elsewhere, you’ll usually need extra-provincial registration — we prepare and file it for you.
